Happenings

This post is brought to you Jondit (Jon + edit) free. Which simply means I didn't force Jon into reading what I wrote and then cry as he points out the 999 mistakes I've made. That's what I get for marrying the son on an English teacher. Which reminds me, you should see them play boggle. A couple of years ago I agreed to be the 3rd player in a friendly game of Boggle with Jon and his mom. Let's just say, I was wiped out of the competition during round 1. I would be so excited when I found a word. Then, Jon would pull out the dictionary to see if indeed it was really a word, and then I'd get 1/2 a point for trying. I'd spell something like, radicalees.

My UPS man (who is on my Christmas list this year for delivering some delightful packages to me) just hand delivered the new Martha Stewart book. I am so giddy right now. For some reason, every time I buy a new Martha Stewart book, I feel like I am going to become this amazing housewife overnight. But see, the thing is, I have come to realize that with a purchase of a Martha book, I don't magically get her powers. I have to work at it! So, with this new book I am determined to actually put it to good use.

In other news, Jon started working this week. He is working for Kaplan which is a test prep class that you can take to get a highter score on any standardized exam. He will be teaching the GMAT and possibly be cross trained to teach the PCAT. On his application for hire, they asked if he knew someone who worked for Kaplan and he put Justin Palmer. The interviewer later told Jon that everyone loves Justin and it was a good thing that he put him down as a reference. We love the Palmers!!

I'm really looking forward to this Friday. We are going to the LDS Temple and then to Ikea, and then to my parents house, and then to dinner with Jon's sister Chloe. Did you know that Jon has a sister? She looks exactly like Jon. Actually, I'm just kidding. You would only be able to tell their related by their eyes. She has the prettiest teal eyes. Chloe lives in Orlando and is loving life at the moment.

While I will be visiting my family I am going to cut my brother's hair. All year long I have been telling Jon that I want to cut his hair and he has always said no. I got so frustrated b/c I have done it before and it turned out fine, (although the next day he went to get it professionally cut, what an insult!) So a few months ago I bought myself an early b-day present, a professional haircutting kit. I read and re-read the instructions. I then gathered enough courage to ask Jon if I can cut his hair. Guess what he said? It rhymes with know. So I got mad and called my brother Andres. This is how our conversation went:

Andres: Talk to me (a line he stole from Uncle Jesse from "Full House")

Me: Hey Caca-head (a line I stole from Andres when we were little kids)

Me: I need you to grow your hair out.

Andres: Okay

Me: Don't you want to know why?

Andres: Oh yeah, why?

Me: I'm cutting your hair in a month.

Andres: Okay. Bye.

If only Jon can be this confident in my haircutting abilities. I'll make sure and take lots of pictures and put them in my haircutting portfolio.

Random Pic's

Things have been pretty busy around the Boress household. Our classes have been very demanding as well as our participation in our various organizations. We're having a great time and I feel like the more time passes by, the more I realize how perfect Jon and I are for each other.

On a side note, I'm emptying out a few months worth of blog posts as soon as the ink for my printer arrives so if you haven't seen any of my earlier posts, now's your chance!

Since I love putting pictures in my posts, here are some random pic's I took with my phone.

This was my first day attending Institute in Gainesville. I had a good laugh at these funny guys!

I was waiting at a traffic light when all of a sudden I see a beautiful helicopter land right in front of my view.

And now for my favorite picture! Jon was in Atlanta last week and I was missing him like crazy. All of a sudden, I get a picture text from my humorous husband.
