Picture of the Day

A while back I took a picture of something very random in my house. I didn't know why I took this particular picture at the time so I saved it onto my hardrive. This morning I was reading my friend Sarah's blog and realized why I took this picture. I'll let her own words explain it best.

Jon's father gave him this fun bike for Christmas. I love that he was so thoughtful. In the background you can see my Ikea money tree and next to it is Kristie's Ikea money tree. I was babysitting her plant while she was out of town. I love that my plant had a friend for 2 weeks :)

Great Quote

I was reading the Ensign magazine last month and came across a quote that struck me as beautiful.

“I’m just a common man with common thoughts, and I feel I’ve lived a pretty common life; there will never be any monuments dedicated to me, and undoubtedly my name will soon be forgotten; but I’ve loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough.”

I have an immense love for my husband. It has grown in depth over the last few months. With each passing moment in our lives I add a new layer of deep feeling to my husband's love. I don't need much in this life. I think I am heading in the right direction and I look forward to adding so many sweet moments to my full of love life.

Ensign

Have I ever mentioned to you how much I love reading the Ensign every month? The Ensign to me is as the the word implies, a sort of directional compass in my life. Since the moment I received a blessing that included the words, "read the Ensign every month" when I was 16 yrs. old, I have followed that instruction and my emotional well-being has benefited thus far.
