Last weekend Jon bought some nice brown suit pants. He came home and was so excited that he found some pants that would fit his voluptuous behind. While he showered he asked if I could heat up the iron for him. I then stepped out of the room to finish getting ready. After about 10 minutes Jon yelled my name. He asked me why his brown pants had a big black mark on the behind part after having ironed that section of the pants. I said, I dunno but when did you get a big dent in your office chair? We put two and two and realized that the iron had been up against his black office chair and when he went to iron his pants the black melted rubber had transferred onto his brand new suit pants! I felt SO bad:( Luckily and with some elbow grease, we were able to remove the black melted rubber from his pants. (Just don't look too closely at his behind!) Well, after he wore the pants I decided to wash them. I was so meticulous and as careful as I could be. I then went downstairs to finish up some HW. Jon came home and saw that there were some clothes in the washer and decided to put them in the dryer. He then called out my name and asked me how a black pen got in the washer with his new brown pants. As he lifted the pen out a gush of ink came out and we just shook our heads and decided that since the moment Jon bought these pants they were destined to die. We also thought that maybe the pants had meant to be the color black. Who knows? Again, I ask that you not stare at Jon's Brown suit pants too closely!

Jon vs. Werther's
This evening, I brought home some sweets that I was going to use to fill Easter eggs next month. I love bubble gum, so I was chewing on some while Jon was munching on some Nerds jelly bean eggs. He then got up and went to get a piece of Werther's candy. A few minutes later I heard an "Oh my gosh" and his mouth was wide open. Jon walked towards me with a sad adorable puppy face. His dental bridge came off on the piece of Werther's he had bitten into! I couldn't believe it. So, I did what I usually do and laughed so hard I had a river of tears coming down my cheeks accompanied with some hyperventilating. Just then, he noticed the light on the answering machine was blinking and he heard a message from Brent's dental friend reminding Jon about his appointment at the dental clinic on campus tomorrow. Thank goodness for that!!

L.E.A.P.S. Trivia night/Social
I had a great time at Trivia night. We raised money for March of Dimes. Our team came in third place. Afterward we went to Ben and Jerry's for some yummy ice cream. I forgot how many flavors they have. My friends kept telling me I should get the Phish flavor but I said no thanks, I don't eat fish but then I had some and it tasted nothing like fish.

Pretty top
My dear and lovely mom-in-law bought me a really pretty brown blouse. She is so considerate and thoughtful. To show her how much I enjoyed it I wore it to church today and I have the picture to prove it. Thanks mom Boress!
Jon really wanted to be in the picture

Valentine's Day 2008
On Valentine’s Day I saw Jon for a total of 4 minutes. He was in school all day studying for his toughest subject, MedChem. His exam was from 7:00-9:00pm. I had a relaxing day making cupcakes for Jon. I did some homework and then off to bed. At around 9:00pm Jon came home and beckoned me to come downstairs. He got me some yellow roses, chocolate covered strawberries (like we had at our wedding), Welch's fruit drink to go along with the cute heart flukes mom Boress gave us back in January, a lethal picture frame, some boxers (for himself), and matching night masks. He is such a sweetheart! The best part is always the card. He is the best when it comes to cards.

Cultural Dinner
On Saturday Jon and I went to the 8th annual Cultural Dinner hosted by the Pharmacy school. I made Arroz con Leche and Jon and I wore Colombian t-shirts. It was a very interesting event. We raised over $2,000 to assist the Doctors without Borders missions.
Jon's friend Andrew playing his violin. He was accompanied by his friend. His friend was really good on the keyboard. He did not even use any sheet music!

Jonbo of the Shire
I don't know if I've ever told you that I was a Ringbearer. It took a large toll on me. After it was all done, I sailed away from the continent and came to Florida. Anyway, here's a photo for you, the only one that still exists. (This was a long time ago.) I know Claudia doesn't like me with long hair, but you can't erase history.

PLS ropes course
A couple of weekend’s ago Jon and I went to Phi Lambda Sigma's Ropes course at Lake Wauberg. We had so much fun! We had never been there before and did not know what to expect but were excited to get some fresh air. Lake Wauberg is absolutely beautiful. Basically what the event consisted of were several team building exercises. Following are some pictures of the event.
